The 1st,2nd,and 3rd place winners (in front
rows) as well as Knights, family and friends
of the District 74, 75, and 76 Regional Soccer
Championship.
The Challenge was held Nov 14th
at The Game Indoor Soccer Arena in Glen Carbon,IL.
Presenting the awards to the winners was owner
Jamie Swanner, former pro-soccer player with
the Ambush as well as 1984 US Olympic Team Member.

Parents Day Out Program -
For the 3rd year in a row, Knights from St. Cecilia
Council 13216 in Glen Carbon have offered parishioners
a child drop-off program to allow parents to go
Christmas shop. As part of the Christmas Parents Day
Off Program, children are treated to crafts, games,
snacks, movies and a surprise visit from the jolly old
elf himself.

Members of Holy Family Council #11981 in Inverness
moved used furniture donated by the Doubletree
Hotel in Palatine to the Little Sisters of the
Poor Nursing Home. Donated items include televisions,
nightstands, and armoires.

#2869 donned Tootsie Roll costumes to add some
fun to their drive for people with intellectual
diasbilities

St. Celia Council 13216 hosted a post Council
Soccer Challenge at The Game indoor soccer arena
in Glen Carbon.

Holy Family Council #4179 hosted a Religious
Appreciation Day on Saturday, Septembe 17th
that brought over 50 members of local religious
communities (nuns, priests, & brothers)
to their council building and grounds.

Illinois State Kamporee was hosted in August
this year. A good turnout of brother Knights
and their families enjoyed faith, family and
fraternity in the mild Fall weather.

St. John Council #3738 in Westmont along with
parishioners from Holy Trinity Catholic Church
for the 6th continuous year erected nearly 3,000
crosses in rememberance of those babies whose
lives have been lost to abortion. The council
also hosted a Blood Drive immediately afterwards.

"Madonna della Strada Council
5574 Knight Alec LeMay recently took
a working vacation in the province of KwaZulu-Natal
in South Africa, visiting his uncle Jack, a
Marist priest operating a mission church in
a rural area. Here we see Alec with a pickup
truck full of Zulu kids that he and his uncle
just drove to Mass, saving them a two-hour walk.
Alec currently is a graduate student of Theology
at Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan."

Mass as St. Patrick Church in Decatur. Father Donovan
is a member of Decatur Council #577. |

A replica of a Fourth Degree chapeau formed the
float entered in the Warrenville
July 4th parade by Sir Knights from St.
Irene Council #6710. The float honored
the 75th anniversary of St. Irene Church and the
council’s 25th anniversary. |

supporters of the Baco Mangyan Kalakbay Foundation,
run by Brother Knight Macario Agelion of Father
Tunkel Council number) in the province of Oriental
Mindoro in the Philippines, shown here with one
of the ladies of the Mangyan
tribe. |

Among other things, BK Agelion's foundation helps
provide medical supplies and transportation and
other costs for the education of the Mangyans. Brothers
LeMay and Pavel have been contributing to the foundation
for several years and recently made a donation of
over $300 to it. |
