Our Lady of Guadalupe Icon and Prayer Program

The Our Lady of Guadalupe Silver Rose began in 1960 as a project of the Columbian Squires of North America to honor the BVM under her title of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas. It continued as a Squires project until 2001, when Supreme Knight Carl Anderson expanded the program by beginning the "Running of the Rose" from the 119th Supreme Convention in Ontario. This year, the program started on May 20, 2009. In November, all three roses will meet in Laredo, Texas to be handed over to Knights in Monterrey, Mexico. The run goes from Canada through the US into Mexico.
