New Council Development

Steve Zalas - NCD Director

Father McGivney’s hope of having a Knights of Columbus presence in every parish stemmed from his belief that local councils could achieve great things for the Church. In addition to creating an Order where Catholic men could grow their faith and help each other in times of need, Father McGivney saw an opportunity to help parishes themselves prosper through five key areas of service—faith, community, family, youth, and fellowship. With that mission in mind, each Diocese will now have an NCD Coordinator(s).

If you know of a parish that could benefit from the creation of a new council, click here to be directed to the Supreme Council's Website for Growth and Development. There you will find information on Starting a New Parish or College Council, Reactivating a Council, Parish Round Tables, or Spanish Council and the required processing forms. After looking at the information on that page, contact one of the NCD Coordinators from the Diocese listed below to help you get started.

Here are a couple of documents to help you along the way.
